Adding a link to your text

Posted on May 5, 2009

To some, this may seem simple beyond belief. But like everything else, we all have to learn some time. If you’re familiar with how to put a link in your blog post/page, then you can skip this post. If you’re not, then sit back and read this.

Let’s suppose that you write a post in which you refer to something you saw on the Department of Homeland Security’s web site. It might be a good idea to link to the information you refer to. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Select the text that you want to link to. (see image)
  2. Click the link button in the post/page edit menu. (see image)
  3. Paste or type the link into the Link URL box and then click Insert. (see image)
  4. You’ll see that the text you selected is now underlined.
